Erin Husbands
MORE THAN JUST A PAGEANT COACH
Erin Elizabeth Husbands graduated from Marksville High School as valedictorian in 2003. She was selected as a National Coca-Cola Scholar and National Toyota Scholar. She was also 2003 Louisiana's Jr Miss. Erin attended Louisiana State University where she was active in Kappa Alpha Theta, Alpha Epsilon Delta, Tiger Athletic Foundation, LSU Homecoming Committee, Fight for Sight, CASA, and Society for Neuroscience. She was published as co-first author in the European Journal of Neuroscience for her research on zebrafish and ganglion cells. In 2008, Erin graduated from LSU with a B.S. in Biological Sciences. Erin enjoys traveling, surfing, attending LSU football games, & playing with her pets. She is also a realtor, graphic designer, crafter (resins and custom Disney ears), works as a Disney & Universal travel agent, and has a strong healthcare background.
In July 2011, Erin retired from pageantry after 26 years of competition. However, in June 2019, she did come out of retirement to compete one final time in the Miss Earth USA Pageant in Las Vegas as Elite Miss Louisiana. Erin placed in the top 8 and received the High Point Media Interview and Director's Leadership awards. In 2025, Erin relocated to Houston while still traveling across the country to meet with coaching clients and travels to pageants year-round as the Queen of Steam and Mobile Spray Tanning. She also pursues other interests of pageantry, such as coaching in areas of modeling, interview, talent choreography, resumes, & styling.
